Dozer was first encountered out on the Podostroma Plains during the Merrygold Riders arc. Pearl had just caught Tangerine the Ponyta, and Luca and Toofus fought the Rhyhorn in the background while Pearl and Ricky Jones had their own conversation. Dozer was Luca's mount for the rest of the time they rode out on the plains to and from the Kinoko Range and Mooney's hideout.
